Wet Woody's is going GREEN!

Wet Woody’s has founded the green initiative, No Wake. No Wake’s purpose is to bring awareness to protecting and enjoying the waters around St. John and the other islands of the Virgin Islands while boating. Because the heart of our business is to take our friends on boating adventures, exploring the beaches and the reefs teaming with marine life, we feel it is our responsibility to minimize the impact boating has on the environment. Through No Wake, we will highlight methods of reducing boating’s carbon footprint along with supporting community efforts of preserving and protecting our waters, reefs, and beaches. Additionally, Wet Woody’s will be working in collaboration with Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park to be the model in resource protection through our green boating efforts.


As part of No Wake, Wet Woody's has initiated the following practices:

1. We have reduced the use of plastic containers on the boat. Our drinking water and beverages are now served in reusable stainless steel bottles.
2. We are now promoting the use of reef friendly and natural sunscreens. Not only are these sunscreens better for you, they are also less damaging to the coral reefs and marine life.
3. We will be purchasing carbon offsets based on the amount of fuel we burn throughout the year.
